Carl Thomas/ Tank visit Orphanage in South Africa
R&B Soul-Singers Carl Thomas and Tank visit Shadow Village.. an Orphanage in South Africa September 2012. Following their big concert along with Avant at the Coca-Cola Dome in Joberg. Carl Thomas, Tank, and staffs drove 20 mins outside the comfort of their four star hotels to get a big dose of reality.
Sparrow Village houses about 50 kids, all of which are orphans, all of which have AIDS, the average life expectancy at Sparrow Village is 9 years. Thomas and friends came to Sparrow Village not for the press opt, they scheduled their visit after the hoopla of press for the concert, instead the came to be a help…Coloring books, pencils, pens, crayons, clothes & Shoes were all pilled into the back of the vans and carted off to the children.
Thomas and Friends attended a church service where in a seldom change of events, the R&B Singers was serenaded beautifully by the children.
Outside Tank transformed into the “Tankster” as the children tried hard to wrestle him down to the ground. Even tough edged booking agent to the Stars Mitch Blackman of ICM chipped in by handing out supplies and words of encouragements.

Two hours later after laughing, crying, worshiping, skateboarding, running, tackling, and healing, the greatest gift was learning.
